Great Result
"Great result here. Used u shaped beams to cover old beams. Tips: 1, cut with a Japanese flat saw 2. delicately use a hack saw blade to get through any staples... use 'composite' or 'trex' screws to best hide the screws."
★★★★★
Fantastic Product!
"We recently bought a new home with a stacked stone fireplace... My idea was to 'slipcover' the existing stone with a realistic, rustic faux beam. The beam I ordered looks amazing, fits perfectly, and completely updates the look."

Lightweight & Easy

High-Density Polyurethane (HDP) mimics the density of wood but weighs roughly 1 lb per foot. No heavy lifting or structural reinforcement needed.

Hollow U-Shape

Our "Box Beam" profile allows you to hide structural steel I-beams, plumbing pipes, or electrical wiring inside the beam for a clean look.

Rot Resistant

Unlike real timber, our faux beams are impervious to moisture, insects, and decay. Perfect for humid bathrooms or exterior porches.

Faux vs. Real Wood Beams: Which is Right for You?

Common Questions About Faux Beams

How easy is it to install faux beams?

Installing foam decorative beams is much simpler than working with solid timber. Their lightweight construction means no special equipment is needed—making them accessible even for DIY homeowners. Check out our installation guide for steps.

Are faux beams fire rated?

No. Our faux wood beams are made from High-Density Polyurethane (HDP) and are strictly for decorative use. They are not fire-rated and should not be used in applications requiring fire-retardant materials. Always check your local building codes.

Do you offer custom shapes like L-Beams or Planks?

Yes! Our Timberthane Series is fully custom. We can manufacture 2-sided (L-Beam) profiles for corners, 3-sided (U-Beam) for ceilings, 4-sided (Box Beam) for free-standing applications, and flat Planks (1-sided) for wall treatments.

Do you sell real wood beams?

Yes! We offer Real Wood Box Beams that are also hollow and lightweight. They provide the authentic aroma and variation of natural timber with the easy installation of a hollow profile. Both types are available for quick shipping.

Can I hide wires or pipes inside the beams?

Yes. Both our Faux Polyurethane and Real Wood Box beams feature a hollow U-shape profile. This channel is perfect for covering structural steel I-beams, plumbing pipes, or running electrical wiring for ceiling fans and chandeliers.

Can I use faux ceiling beams outdoors?

Yes, these foam beams resist moisture, rot, and insects, making them great for covered patios and porches. For areas exposed to direct sun, we recommend applying a UV-resistant clear coat to protect the finish.

What’s the warranty?

All of our faux beams come with a limited lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects. See warranty details.
